New York – is a great city.

He meets you, like a good old friend, joyfully embracing, and you’re immersed in its wonderful atmosphere of a permanent holiday. I decided to fly on business there. And how to be in New York and not to visit the Broadway musicals, not to go to the “Radio City Hall”? We can talk about the beauty, grace and professionalism of the actors very much and long, but despite of this, I want to note that in Russia we also have got a lot to learn to, always different school of excellence.

Our theater is often on tour in the U.S.A, so now I had negotiations about new long-term tours in Panama. But until we have a rather busy schedule in Russia.

In the middle of may we’ve got a big concert, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the theatre and also of its founder – the art director, talented pedagogue, script writer Yuri Nikolaevich Cherenkov, which in the day of the concert would be 61-year-old.

Sincere thanks to all artists of the ballet, as well as the stars of Russian stage, agreed to respect the memory of their friend: Alexander Marshal, VIA «Samotsvety» and Victoria Pierre-Marie. Special thanks to the children’s group «Domisolka», illusionist Anatoliy Nemetov, vocalists of our Theatre Natalia Rizhova and Ira Perova, the technical team: stage director Alexander Savitskiy, assistant of the project director Anna Zhukova and sound engineer Paul Bitkov.

Thank you for your love to our genre!

The show was timed to the day of birth of the founder of the theatre Yuri Cherenkov radiation, which may 17, would be executed 61 years.

Ballet dancers once again proved that they are really the best, and the crowded room, intently observing the dynamics of the presentation, go with confidence that the genre of variety – it is not naphthalene, as is commonly believed, but a very competitive and live show, which, as they say, must go on.

Russia, mainly working with the classic variety show pitch, evolving from opera to operetta, and so on. One of the brightest representatives of this genre, I think Philip Kirkorov, incidentally. Others are local fighting, because in spite of people’s love, the genre that have not yet received support on television.

The Best Variete Yuri Cherenkov exception in this sense: it is well known even outside Russia – is an indicator.

Now the genre is transformed into something more extreme than just walking girls in costumes. When twenty years ago, I worked for Yuri Cherenkov, it was great and tremendous show, but today the way of special effects, stunts much more and, in fact, the genre has become even more expensive than in the old days.

And I am pleased that, despite the many technical challenges, «Variety», founded by Yuri Cherenkov light his memory, for thirty years has proved its vitality and continues to refine his art.

Artist of the variety must look great, because the genre itself is practically a sport, it is a heavy physical load. Sports way of life, healthy food, diet is required, because the actor of theatre should allow yourself to open the body of the most suggestive places. Freebie won’t work here – this is an honest genre, where the eyes of the audience in a short time it is necessary to create not just the atmosphere of art and the atmosphere of holiday.

Staging is a separate topic. This is a neat show, rolling in battle theatricals. Battle, because, firstly, it is a very expensive suits (in this case, the high cost is full of grace!), secondly, on the mass scale. A huge crowd of extras moves on you in luxurious costumes – it’s impressive. We should not forget about the fantastic scenery – and is still a small frame to the fact that represents himself out on the stage, because every single artist – this professional with a good education in the field of art. And the main in the program after all the personal qualities of the artist, is his charisma and talent.

If a normal theatre «pedals» one star, then the variety is exceptional in this sense, the theater of the stars. We have all of the soloists – exquisitely talented individuals, who do everything, so that the audience enjoyed the holiday of the soul.
